Posted by: abds69

Sorry if i were not clear. To summarize, problem with tags in wordpress 2.8 come from a bad jquery used in template. so either you update your template to be 2.8 compatible (irresistible has a new one for example) , else you replace the jquery.js file of wordpress with the one from wordpress 2.7. Solved.

First thing to do, switch your theme to default or Kubrick and close your browser, reopen it and try a new article with tags. Is it working ?

Did you reboot or clear the cache in firefox ? Try also to come back to default theme and see if tags re-function !! I think problem stay in your THEME which is using an incompatible version of jquery. Tell me which theme your using , i’ll try it to 2.8.5 !!

Now you’d better reinstall on it the 2.9.1, this post was destined to time where 2.8 came out. Backup wp-config.php

I’m not sure i can help you on that, but first thing first : restore a default or kubrick template. See if any difference appears. Then disable all plugins. See if better. . Test it .Then check your .htaccess file if nothing suspicious in it. Then copy on your installation a fresh wordpress copy. That would be my roadmap.

Thanks for sharing the link, but unfortunately it seems to be down… Does anybody have a mirror or another source? Please reply to my post if you do!

I would appreciate if a staff member here at http://www.frenchytech.com could post it.

    Thanks,
    Jules
